Turtles have been around for over 200 million years – and continue to intrigue and fascinate children and adults! There are 327 known species of turtle alive today, many of them on the endangered animals list. Learning about turtles and why they are becoming endangered can be a great way for children to become involved in environmental/ecological work as part of being a ‘Steward of the Earth’.
